I am a pre-kindergarten bilingual teacher in the outskirts of Dallas, TX. My students are English Language Learners and require extra love, extra attention and differentiated instruction is a must to help them succeed. They come with more weight than they can bare on their shoulders as some have left their countries of origin due to violence.
My classroom is a safe haven to many and an outlet for others. In my classroom each students gets to be a kid again. Despite their socioeconomic status they deserve a chance to be successful. They are enthusiastic and have the desire to learn. You can see the eagerness in their eyes as they attentively watch my every move. I am committed to providing social emotional support to each of my students as well as academic rigor to ensure they develop the skills they need to one day help shape our world.
