My program is an alternative to the general education setting. My students are often below their grade level when they enter my program, my goal is to push my students to where they need to be to successfully enter high school. Math is a subject that my students really struggle with, they are not able to see how things work. Concepts like fractions, geometry, and graphs are confusing to my students and often take them a long time to understand. It is difficult for them to picture why the math is working out the way it does. Math manipulatives would be an amazing asset to my classroom.
