Many studies on literacy confirm what educators have known for years: the more contact children have with books, the better readers they become. My students need help finding "just right" books to read during our independent reading time. Currently, our books are stored in bookshelves, and are not organized by reading level or genre. Book bins will help organize our book collection by genre and reading level, to make the books easier to find and enjoy. I want my students to enjoy reading by having exactly the right book for them! A newly organized library will ensure that my students will have more than enough to choose from.
