This year our district has begun a Two-Way Dual Immersion Spanish program. There will be 2 Kindergarten classes. My students are eager to learn but do not always have access to the materials and resources necessary to be successful. We are in need of Spanish materials to make our classes engaging. The majority of the students come from working class, high poverty homes. Our school is composed of mostly English language learners. One challenge that I have as a teacher is how to prepare them for a world that is constantly evolving and setting expectations higher and higher. Help me bridge the gap and provide these students with more equitably access while becoming fully bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural.
