If this project becomes fully funded, I will be able to get a copy of this magazine into the hands of students with an eagerness to learn in two languages.
The ¿Qué tal? magazine opens up great classroom discussion and collaborative conversations over issues facing Spanish-speaking countries around the world, including the United States. It's so awesome to watch students get excited about the topics presented in this magazine. From food to sports, music, and culture, this magazine is sure to broaden students' perspectives and literacy skills.
Engaging students in discussions about different cultures will also strengthen their socio-cultural competence skills which is one of the three pillars of our dual language immersion programs.
