With the use of the classroom carpet, A Place for Everyone, my student will be able to sit comfortably and enjoy a variety of activities. The activities that they will sit at the carpet for include; community circle, independent work, small groups, reading instruction, mathematics instruction and writing in their journals.
This rugs allows for students to have spaces that encourage students to keep bodies to themselves and make positive choices. Their current community space does not have designated areas that are large enough for each student to sit comfortably. Sitting in their own space gives them maximum opportunity to fully engaged in the lesson or activity at hand.
