Technological devices used for educational purposes are the norm at my school. Each college-preparatory class is fitted with a touch-screen Promethean board and a set of Google Chromebooks. The majority of students also have the latest and greatest SmartPhones at their disposal; however, my class does not have access to a Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
For my English literature students, a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will take my instruction methodology and my students' educational experiences to the next level. Some of the things my students will be able to do include annotating literary texts and "live" Google documents, completing ACT-based test-taking exercises, and collaborating on group projects. Depending on the nature of the assignment, the Surface Pro 4 can be synced with the Promethean board, thus allowing all students using the device an opportunity to instruct their fellow classmates.
