This year our third grade team is putting a great focus on STEAM and STEM projects. These supplies will help us explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Currently, my class is working on a "31 Days of STEAM" project that will introduce students to topics such as coding, textures, chemistry, chromatography, senses, lift, force, weight, estimation, the color wheel, surface tension, motion, matter, static cling, buoyancy, and density. The tools in this project will give us the necessary materials to complete all 31 days of our project. It is my goal to help students become lifelong learners. I believe that STEAM and STEM projects help teach students how to learn. With this ability, students are able to become critical thinkers. I want my students to have the tools and skills necessary to become active problem solvers in their community.

About my class
