Due to our improving curriculum, many of our textbooks and resources are becoming digital. In our small school district, we do not have the funds to provide our students with the ratio of 1:1, students to computers. Although my class sizes estimate anywhere from 15-28, having access to three Chromebooks in my classroom can help bridge the gap of the need for technology in my school.
Since our standardized tests are now administrated through an online testing service, providing my students with the same type of testing format, I can help them perform well on those test. In the future I would love to administer my own tests through a digital format as well. By having access to these Chromebooks in my class, my students can complete online assignments and conduct research for various assignments throughout any of my science classes.
