I teach in a high-poverty school, teaching 3rd graders. My students never cease to amaze me everyday. They come to school each and every day ready to learn, homework completed, and a smile on their faces. They love to read, they find themselves lost in books. Our school has the best attendance within our school district. "We are considered a "Native Language" school, with Spanish being the predominant language. It is a safe environment where students follow expectations and are accountable. Even though the neighborhood is not great, my students are!!!
