Thank you for visiting! I have been teaching in CPS for almost 20 years in various capacities--classroom teacher (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grades) and currently theater and dance. I also am the co-founder of the Peacemaker program with my partner, Mauricio Pineda. This program teaches young people to build community, resolve conflict by examining the roots of the problem, and to mentor and support other students. I currently am the co-lead of Restorative Practices and Discipline at my school, where we focus on helping students address the reason behind their conflicts to reduce harm in the longterm by creating agreements that foster healing and peace within the community.
