My students are mostly of Latino and Hispanic descent. They are newcomers to America and live in a high poverty crime ridden area. These students are eager to learn and will benefit highly from having their own books. Owning a book can push a student to become an independent reader for life. The students in my class are hard working students that deserve a better life and through books and education they can achieve many things.
