Our school serves a student population that is 95% low-income, 98% minority, 62% English Language Learners, 9% Special Education students and 100% college bound. School enrollment has grown over time, (and is now at full capacity), due to consistent improvement in school quality and we are now nearing almost 750 students. We are an innovation school with extended day and extended year. Our community is a really incredible place we have shown significant growth in the past four years since turnaround, catapulting ourselves from one of the lowest-performing schools to the 8th in the state for growth.
Even though our budget has been drastically cut we still aim to provide quality materials in order to remain equitable. My tiny artists deserve the best and should not have their creativity limited by a lack of supplies.
