I teach a life skills highly structured class. In my class I have 7 boys who are unique learners. Each student in my class has a disability that makes it difficult for them to function in a regular education classroom. I have 2 students who are in kindergarten, 2 students who are in first grade and 2 students who are in second grade. I have 1 student who has Down Syndrome and 6 students who have Autism. One student is verbal and 6 students are nonverbal. All my student struggle socially and are often to themselves. Most of my students come from single parent homes.
