My 8th grade science students are the most wonderful kids! They are excited to come to school every day and want to grow and help each other out in the process. It amazes me how children who come from circumstances that, all too often are not the best are so open to each other and engaged in learning. It also inspires me to give them the absolute best learning environment possible. Our school community does the best they can to provide everything that the students need to learn however since our school's population is 84.7% economically disadvantaged sometimes that means buying extra snacks, coats and basic school supplies rather than 3D models or technology that would help our students to truly understand the abstract science concepts they are expected to learn.
