With remote learning relying heavily on screen-based activities, I want to send my amazing students some paper-based social-emotional learning activities and encouragement while they are stuck at home.
We are living through a historic time, and I want my students to put their thoughts onto paper so they can have a tangible artifact of what they lived through during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of them don't have the capacity to print things from home, and I want to send each of them a care package containing enrichment activities, a reflective time capsule, and a motivational poster. My kids are struggling to process all that is going on around them right now and they need activities like this to feel safe, encouraged, and cared for.
Having access to a quality, high-capacity copier will give me a reliable resource to create not only my students' initial care package, but future activities for additional enrichment. Once we return to school, this printer will continue to serve future students for many years to come.
My graduating eighth-graders deserve so much more but this is the least I can do.
