As a Music mentor, I was looking for an instrument that can be easily be played by K-6 students. I was surprised when I share my idea to my students. They were super excited! We would like to start a beginners ukulele band during the music class specials. This will help students to develop music skills, coordination, motor and brain functioning.
We are working in a non-violence music classroom, where my students can set their personal problems behind and come to a free of violence room. Music can be peaceful, music is relaxing. Ukuleles will bring that softly mellow sound to our small town.
We are excited to start this journey!
