100 % of my students receive reduced or free lunch. Their parents are supportive with homework. They donated the basic needs I requested in the beginning of the school year. (2 pencils, eraser, markers, tissue paper and paper) Our PTA (school donation from parents) donation was $100 per teacher for the school year and one limited funded field tip. The school is poorly designed for students to play at recess. There are no ball walls and not enough equipment. Kids jump off benches or play marbles in the dirt instead of developing their fine motor skills.
My students this year are like sponges, who love to learn. They take care of each other and are learning how to solve problems together. They try to do their best and have improved in comprehension this school year. I am very proud of their achievements so far this year.
