Our first grade bilingual students come from many different countries in the Caribbean and Latin America. The majority of the students are in their second year of bilingual program in a low income school. The rest of the students and families are newcomers from Spanish Speaking countries in search of a better life in the United States. The bilingual transitional program help our students attain English proficiency and academic success by preserving their native language and culture.
