I am a media specialist at an elementary school teaching Pre-K - 5th grade. Over 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. The transiency rate is very high. Many students are being raised in a single parent home with multiple siblings or raised by adults other than a parent (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, foster parents). Our school is located in a suburb of a large metropolitan city.
