It's the little things that can make a huge difference in our students' day. They appreciate knowing that they have a safe and comforting space in which they can collaborate, learn, and engage with others. My goal as an educator is to create this space and facilitate engaging discussions and interactions. My students are caring, thoughtful, and curious. They are the movers and the shakers. They love independent time, reading, and multimedia. However, this doesn't mean that they do not struggle with homelessness, hunger, and challenges that arise from low economic status, being English language learners, as well as facing racism and xenophobia. I hope that as a community we can support and foster the brilliance of these young people through the little things that can make a world of differences. Thank you for your contributions and support to raise these leaders up so that real change can happen.

About my class
