I teach a Severe Disorders of Language/Aphasia preschool class in California. My classroom is on a regular elementary school campus K-6 with 5 Special Day Classes for children with disabilities. I am both a Speech Pathologist, as well as a general education classroom teacher.
I currently have 16 three and four year olds in my class. Some of my students start school at 3 years old with little to no language but by the time they are kindergarten age they have age appropriate language and speech. Some of my other students have severe articulation disorders making them unintelligible even to their own parents.
