Using these supplies, the students will create posters and anchor charts and complete activities to understand the mathematical concepts covered in Algebra 1. Some activities call for students to sort and match graphs to other representations including tables, equations, and scenarios. The students can use the supplies to cut and glue the groups together. They can then transfer their new learning onto anchor charts using the markers, colored pencils, and chart paper or printer paper to hang in the room.
Anchor charts allow the students to refer back to prior knowledge and apply it to new lessons. With the supplies from this project, students can create colorful and helpful charts they will refer back to for the rest of the year!
