In our preschool classrooms, practicing good hygiene is an essential part of our daily routine. Our students have learned the importance of brushing teeth every day as well as washing hands before mealtimes and after playing at the park. Unfortunately, we have very old sinks and vanity cabinets that we believe are an environmental hazard to the young children in our classrooms.
It is time for us to get rid of the sinks and vanity cabinets that are over 40 years old and replace them with new filtered water coolers. The sinks that we currently have in our classrooms are leaking and peeling; they are molding on the inside and falling apart! Often, the "warm" water is too hot and the "cool" water is freezing cold.
We want to replace the sinks and vanity cabinets with filtered water coolers so our students have access to clean drinking water in the classroom. It is important for us to eliminate bacteria, germs, and mold so our students have a clean and sanitary environment to continue practicing good hygiene. We hope you can help our students!
