Students are often bored or disengaged in math classes because they do not see how it relates to their future. Math education has not changed much in the last 150 years but I refuse to let tradition be the sole determinant of what students need to be successful in the 21st century. Students need hands-on, involved tools to support learning and make math practical. Because of this, I have been gathering resources to make math realistic and engaging to support student learning but lack a 3D printer.
Your contribution will help students connect tangible, real-world examples of rates, density, estimation, thermodynamics, calculus, proofs, and many other math concepts through a 3D printer.
Through this 3D printer, students will work together to see math come to life in new and innovative ways that will match the creativity, collaboration, and communication required for their future careers. Please consider making a donation to help make my math classroom a center for inspired learning!
