Hello! My name is Mrs. Simpson and I am a Gifted Resource Teacher serving students in grades K-5 in Virginia.
In my school division, all students in grades K-3 work with the Gifted Resource Teacher bi-weekly to practice problem-solving, creating, and reasoning skills. Students go through a wholistic, universal testing process in 3rd grade, and students who are found eligible for Gifted services begin receiving them in 4th grade.
My students are dynamic, unique, and curious learners from a wide variety of backgrounds. They bring diverse experiences and understandings to the classroom, which allows us all to learn from one another everyday!
