Some of my students have unfortunately had very limited experiences with the alphabet and numbers. Exposing them to text in multiple modalities and fun ways keep them engaged and best of all, learning. Currently, I use activities I print on card stock, laminate and cut out. This costs money but most of all, is quite time consuming and doesn’t hold up to the test of time. Having these ready-made, physically tactile and durable activities will not only promote their letter/number recognition but also increase their fine motor skills for writing. And once they are able to consistently and confidently identify their letter names and sounds, the phonics activities are a great next step!
