Your support of this project would help my students practice problem solving strategies in a fun and engaging way. With the Breakout EDU box, students work together in teams to solve clues that review concepts they have previously learned. Working toward “breaking into the box” introduces a new way to practice and review content in the classroom in a way that excites students!
This type of engaging and collaborative teamwork will also be supported with coding robots from this project. The coding robots offer a unique way for students to learn and practice math strategies while also exposing and building foundations for future computer coding. Students have to program the robots to complete a task. While doing this, they learn how to de-bug a program if their robot does not complete the task as expected. By de-bugging the robot programming, students learn how to effectively work together and problem solve. These activities excite students, spark continued curiosity, and motivate them inside the classroom.
