We strive to help students at our school become explorers, thinkers, and scientists as they camp, some for the first time in their lives. They will solve problems, work collaboratively, and learn to accept each other as they get to know each other as individuals-not only will they be learning together but also living together. They will have the opportunity to further develop a range of social and emotional skills which will serve them well as they progress through middle school and into high school and even college and their future careers.
Visiting Nature’s Classroom will broaden their horizons, deepen their sense of community, and foster their self-confidence. In addition, it also serves as a wonderful way for students and teachers to continue building strong relationships as we are able to interact in a new and exciting setting. Finally, it is a way for all our students to feel a sense of belonging because everyone attends.
