When life throws you lemons make lemonade! This saying is so true but so hard to actually do. Especially for young children who lack to coping skills to do so. I want to create an atmosphere, give opportunities, and model how to make this happen. In order to give those strategies and coping skills to my students I need help!
I will use the the "build me emotions" by Lego to help my students better identify what they are feeling and understand how to deal with those emotions. The sequin pillow will be used as a sensory tool to help my students feel comfortable and open to communication. The sand tray will be used as a tool in play but also to open lines of communication so I can better care for their needs. The many books and other supplies will be used in classrooms and for individual counseling with my students. Each as a tool to help them better cope and learn how to deal with what life throws at them!
