By completing this project, I am hopeful that my students will understand the concept of fractions. These manipulatives will allow them to explore what a fraction is, and practice their learning in different ways. The fraction tiles will be used in pairs and individually during small group time. Most of my students struggle with math concepts, and having these vital manipulatives will aid them in their learning of fractions and will be very beneficial to their path of academic success. Math concepts, like fractions, are pivotal for students. Having these manipulatives in the classroom will allow students to explore and learn will reinforce what is being taught in the classroom.
