As a teacher, there are many materials and manipulatives I lack to provide my students with a varied and accessible instruction. I hope that with the appropriate materials that my students can thrive in their math skills and feel prepared as they continue onto the next grade.
The materials I have chosen will help me provide additional support for students utilizing strategies that correlates with our curriculum. With that being said, our goal in our class is to be strong mathletes. We practice and train every day to do our best and exercise our brains! The use of number lines, number bonds, and base ten blocks are essential to master our standards in mathmatical concepts. What better way than to be hands on!
