Teaching and distance learning has been a learning experience for teachers all over the world. We are working together to create digital materials, video lessons, keep students engaged, and overall remind our students that WE CARE.
While teachers are working tirelessly to continue their students' education, we first have to make sure the students are able to access the digital materials we are providing. While 92% of the students in my school are living in poverty, very few of them have access to a computer or tablet. They are so eager to join live video lessons and use interactive digital materials, but parents have expressed their hardships with me explaining they are not able to afford such devices.
Thankfully, generous teachers have created amazing resources available on Teacher Pay Teachers that I hope to continue using next year with any received funds. The iPads will also continue to be used inside of the classroom to allow students to practice with endless digital learning applications.
