Our school is an IB (International Baccalaureate) magnet middle school that attracts talented children from all over the county. Our school is comprised of nearly equal diversification of Black, Hispanic, White, and Asian/Pacific Islander students. These students are motivated learners, eagerly devouring knowledge of all disciplines. While our students create fantastic community projects that benefit not just our school, but also our surrounding area, they are inhibited from exploring the latest technology tools in our media center. As an IB school, students are expected to embody certain attributes, such as to become thinkers, inquirers, and to express creativity. In order to tap into these attributes to become a successful student, we as a school must provide areas of hands-on interactive learning that promotes self discovery.
