My math scholars come from a rough part of town where their needs are not always met. These materials will help them focus on their school work and build their self confidence! I want to enable growth mindset with the help of flexible seating, simple technology, math manipulatives, and books that let them know they are capable of making their dreams come true while making them feel safe. Flexible seating will provide my students with a way to focus their energy so that they can stay on task. Each student should learn in their own way and in a comfortable classroom. Math is a difficult subject and so I want to build a "thinking classroom" which enables them to move around the room in random groups while using 360 whiteboards to actually think and decipher about math and rich tasks. That is my hope for these materials! I want my students to love coming to school while feeling safe at all times.
