The kitchen will make a difference in my students' learning by providing them a diverse, engaging environment for students' to extend their learning through self-directed activities. These materials will make a difference and improve my student's learning by giving them the opportunity to dive deeper into meaningful play.
When students are given the opportunity to play and create using materials that build inquiry this will help students build oral language and vocabulary skills.
Having the space, time, and resources to let younger students play is developmentally appropriate and allows kindergarteners to grow to their fullest potential. Being able to get a play kitchen in our classroom will enhance our 'home center' by allowing students to engage with each other in a new setting and further their learning.
