Technology plays a huge part in learning. This Apple TV and iPad will allow me to further integrate technology into my lessons by displaying educational tools, educational videos, and interactive educational apps. My students love using technology, and love when I allow them to see videos, noise meters, and timers on the SmartBoard. I also use Class Dojo, an educational app, in my classroom to encourage positive behavior and teach growth mindset. Currently, I have to lay my phone under my Elmo in order to show students educational tools and apps. This results in a fuzzy and unclear picture for my students. By connecting an iPad and Apple TV to my projector and SmartBoard, my students will be able to clearly see and actively engage with educational apps and tools. When not being used with the Apple TV, students can use educational apps on the iPad during stations in both reading and math. My students light up when they get the chance to use technology and are always more engaged with technology-based assignments. By donating to our project, not only will you be helping to integrate technology into our daily routines, but you will be helping to increase student engagement and academic achievement.
