The goal of this project is to give my students an active, hands-on way to learn. In this project, I have requested different math, phonics, and reading games that can be played on the SmartBoard during both whole group and small group. I have also requested a book bin for each individual student.
The software will help the students learn in a way that they are familiar with and excited about! With a lot of these students not having access to these kinds of resources outside of the classroom, it is extremely important to ingrate as much 21st century learning into the classroom as possible. The book bins will provide a space for each child to have their own books that are aimed at their reading level. This way, I know what books they will be reading and will be able to provide texts that are challenging enough to improve their reading level. This type of individualized instruction is what will help these students succeed!
