We are lucky to have an amazing library of fiction books that our kids love, but non-fiction books are just as important if not more.
By bringing non-fiction books and magazines into our classroom we are able to provide students with real world experiences. The book sets we are asking for help create a whole study of facts for us to dive into and learn about. For example, the Community Helpers book set will help us understand what real police officers, firefighters, and doctors are doing in our neighborhoods to keep us safe. By learning more about these professions through books, we will be able to generate questions and meaningful conversation when the community helpers visit our PreK classrooms!
