I am requesting the Chromebooks so that the students at my school can have the opportunities they need to be successful. I already have space available and places for the Chromebooks to be used. I live in a rural part of Southern Utah and teach in a small school and our funding for technology is limited.
Our school is a designated STEAM school where we focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. I would love to bring more technology into the classroom to help with the STEAM activities that I manage. As a school, we also share students weekly to do STEAM projects to give them different opportunities to learn and be successful.
I also teach the dual immersion gifted class. These students are bused in from the surrounding area to participate in advanced learning. They are eager to learn and love to create using the computers. These computers would help them to advance in their technology skills and provide them with the resources that they need to be successful and confident learners.
As a second grade team, we also share students to do interventions. The computers would also help those students with different programs to differentiate their learning to meet their needs.
I am so grateful for this opportunity and for those who donate to my classroom's needs. I am looking forward to being able to provide my students with new learning opportunities on the Chromebooks!
