I am an elementary school counselor looking to utilize sensory play to help students stabilize while in crisis as well as provide a welcoming environment to encourage students to open up and share with me. I am requesting soft building blocks, sensory sand, sensory slime, pop beads, a weighted lap pad and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers. By using these sensory objects, students will be able to feel calm, build trust with me, and feel safe. The TpT gift card will be used to pay for small group and individual counseling lessons which are evidence-based to support students emotionally and socially while helping to remove barriers to their academic success. Thank you for thinking about student mental health!
