Because my students use tables rather than desks, they keep their materials for writers workshop, guided reading and guided math in bins around the classroom. Seat sacks would allow my students to keep their materials at their desks. This would be beneficial to my learners in many different ways. This would help develop self sufficiency and responsibility as they would be in charge of all of their materials. Seat sacks would also help me optimize classroom time. My students spend a considerable amount of time each day transitioning to get their materials and passing out work to their peers. The seat sack would allow me to spend more time on instruction rather than searching for materials.
