My students come to school to learn tons of fun and amazing things! However, desks and hard plastic chairs are NOT fun and amazing!
I would like to have super cool, fun and amazing seats for my students to do their learning. I am hoping my students can come and experience a new exciting sitting environment. They already love the large puppy pillows and foam squares we have in our room. I would like to continue the change and eventually have a desk-less classroom, with beans bags, stability balls, wobble cushions, low stools and surf tables, creating more room for my students to enjoy their day, by relaxing and learning. My students will be able to come into class everyday and choose the type of seating they would like based on their mood that day.
Kinders love to move around and wiggle about, and my class is no different. With the stability balls and low stools they will be able to sit at low tables to do their work, sit in the scoop rockers and listen to a story, or lay on a pillow in their work areas. Being able to choose their seating will enable them to be more focused on their learning, rather than fidgeting and trying to get comfortable in a hard plastic chair.
