My Literacy Academy students have access to an online reading program that is tailored to their reading level. I have borrowed Chromebook laptops from my colleagues in order to create a center that enables kids to use the program independently. But we are in need of headphones and mice! My younger students have difficulty in maneuvering the Chromebooks without mice because they still lack fine motor skills. The online reading program has sound and our class noise level is high because we don’t have headphones. Noise in the classroom distracts from student learning. Headphones and mice will make this center easier and quieter to use.
