My students are part of a school that is defeating all odds. The students from my school are 99% Hispanic with most of the Kindergarteners coming to school speaking only Spanish. The school is Title 1 with a free and reduced lunch rate of 99%. The students come from a very poor area. Many of these student's parents only speak Spanish and because of that are unable to help their child in their studies. They are kindergarten students who at five and sic years old are willing to give everything they have to further their education without allowing their circumstances to hinder their dreams.
