I am very proud of the 10 students I case manage in our behavioral disabilities program. They all attend a public school in a large urban district. They all entered this special education program facing the same challenges: limited self-management skills, inability to cope with frustration, poor interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, and an array of other challenging behaviors. Steadily, they have all worked hard to meet their positive behavioral replacements. However, due to limited funds, their crisis room is an empty classroom with no materials to help them with relaxation. In addition, the school rewards store has been meagerly stocked, as it has been left up to the school staff to provide incentives and rewards to the students. It would mean the world to these hard-working students to have the support of donors like you in helping them have access to materials and rewards that will make a huge difference in re-mediating their behavioral challenges.
