I love being a librarian. I work at a very large school that serves over 800 students. The school building that I work in is only about 7 years old. The library is a large and beautiful space. There is no shortage of technology or student resources throughout the school; however in the library several of the shelves have only a few books. I currently am not able to meet the student requests for many of the books that they would like to read. This is mainly due to the cuts that have been to library funding. In spite of this, the students do enjoy coming to the library to check out the books that we do have.
