Welcome!
I teach 6th grade in Santa Rosa, CA. My students are a wonderfully diverse group of learners who come to school every day excited to learn.
I teach in a culturally diverse Title 1 school where 95% of the students are socioeconomically disadvantaged. My students work hard every day to overcome the challenges that they face. Many of them have struggled academically. Most are English Language Learners who are learning to speak English alongside their academic learning. Even getting to school can be a challenge with early pickups and long bus rides required to get to school on time.
In spite of this my students come to school actively excited every day, they love to learn and explore, and they rarely stop moving.
We are excited about our year of learning together!
Thank you so much for your support!
