I have a literacy-based classroom where my students participate in a variety of self-paced activities. They enjoy technology and would love the opportunity to use iPads in the class to help with Reading, Phonics, and Spelling.
Using iPads will allow my students to have access to many different applications and online books through the internet. Some Apps we can use are Razkids to increase our reading comprehension and build fluency, Spellingcity to engage in games that focus on weekly spelling and vocabulary lists and K-3 Sight Words that focuses on words that must be memorized, not sounded out.
This project will help my students on a daily basis enjoy the pleasures of reading. Having iPads will allow my students to work on their self-paced activities and USE current technology to close their learning gaps.
