Our 1st grade classroom is filled with students who are eager to learn. We learn about reading, writing, math, science, communities, cultures, teamwork, responsibility, and "doing the right thing even when nobody is watching". We support each other in our learning and build friendships. The students come from a variety of backgrounds. German, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Farsi, and Dutch are some of the languages spoken in their homes. We come together to learn about one anther's cultures and define our own classroom culture.
